EUREKA TOURISM is a European strategic initiative launched within the EUREKA programme and led by Spain, oriented to the sustainable improvement of tourism, leisure and cultural sectors. The objective is the definition of the main lines of technological development and the generation of R&D projects that as a result would set up products, processes or innovative services with technological basis and a commercial interest.

Oriented to public and private entities, EUREKA TOURISM is a real European network for technological innovations in the tourist sector.

Henry H. Harteveldt, Vice President at Forrester, Guest of Honor at 2nd EUREKATourism Brokerage Event

Henry H. Harteveldt, Vice President for Tourism at Forrester, is guest of honor at 2nd EUREKATourism Brokerage Event, organized by SEGITTUR in collaboration with the Members of the European Consulting Committee from 13 countries. The event will be held in Madrid, Spain, on October 19th and 20th.

Named one of the world most influential people in the travel industry by Travel Weekly Magazine, Henry H. Hartelveldt, has an extensive knowledge and work experience as Principal Analyst of the Tourist Sector.

During his presentation Henry H. Harteveldt will explain “The Three I's that form the Future Of Travel: Individualism, Inspiration, and Immediacy” referring to how the application of the new technologies in the tourist industry makes feasible the creation of new products and services and enables new ways of communication and commercialization.

The 2nd EUREKATourism Brokerage Event is designed for representatives from public and private companies and organizations requesting innovative solutions, looking for a future collaboration or wishing to establish a new project. Representatives will dynamically meet people interested in creating international collaborative R&D projects applied to the tourism sector.

During the Event, participants will have the opportunity to hear about the EUREKATourism strategy, presented by the Chairman of the initiative, Mr. Pedro Antón as well as currently running projects. In addition, three workshops focused on technology and mobility, technology applied to sustainability and application for the hotel of the 21st Century, will be organized.
